Eric North has been a lifelong member of Halifax Harriers and prior to his relocation in 2005 was a full member of Stainland Lions for a noticeable period of time. To date he still remains loyal to both his Calderdale Clubs, holding Social status with Stainland and Halifax Harriers.

He is held in high regard both as an athlete and a gentleman, and is widely known throughout the running community for his generous spirit having spent many hours organising or helping at events over the years.
