Hello and welcome to Stainland Lions… well almost! No doubt you’re eager to join, so this is how to get started. If you have access to a printer, download, print and fully complete the Application form first of all (in BLOCK CAPITALS please). Then download and printout a blank Proof of ID form and hand them both to a member of the club Committee. If you don’t know what we look like, just take a peek on the Contact Page, or ask someone at the club. If you are unable to printout your own copies of the documents we keep hard copies on the notice board at our clubhouse at Heath Rugby Club.

The Committee member will then need to verify your identity by completing the Proof of ID form and checking some documents as follows:

Please bring original documents as photocopies will not be accepted and don’t forget your money, £25 for full annual membership or £20 if you are aged 60 or more. Cheques are payable to ‘Stainland Lions Running Club’.

We would prefer this exercise to be completed at one of our monthly meetings, which are held on the first Thursday of every month, after the run, in the Heath clubhouse. It’s much easier for these documents to be completed and checked indoors and naturally this is an ideal opportunity for you to meet some other club members and find out what’s going on.

If you can’t make the monthly meeting then please make every effort to help us with your application by completing the form and bringing all the correct documents at a suitable time, preferably not 5 minutes before a club run!

Here are our full list of fees,

Full membership; £25. Provides first claim with our club, [registered with UKA for Road races / Fell races / Trail races / Cross Country races] and includes membership of UK Athletics, reduced race entry fees etc.

Same Full Membership, over 60s; £20.

Second Claim membership including road running; £20. eg. where a runner may be a first claim member of a fell running club for instance, but wishes to join us for Cross country and the odd road race.

Second Claim membership, Cross Country only; £15. Same as above, no UKA discount for road races.

Social membership; £5. Typically a non-running partner who wishes to join in with our social life, but thinks running is mad!
